My story
From a young age, I believed in the importance of service and helping others, which shaped my desire to make a positive impact. Years ago, I made a decision: if work was going to be a big part of life, I wanted to do something meaningful—something I was good at and truly enjoyed. That decision led me to the field of mental health, where I’ve spent the past decade supporting people through life’s challenges and helping them create meaningful change.
My journey began in a residential treatment center for adolescent boys, where I learned the value of building trust and staying calm under pressure. Later, I discovered the importance of creativity and self-care, engaging in art and my own therapy for the first time. Those experiences taught me that people are inherently resilient—even when they can’t see it themselves—and inspired me to return to school to expand my skills.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Weber State University and my Master’s in Social Work from Boise State University. Since then, I’ve worked in inpatient psychiatric care, with DV offenders, and in substance use treatment programs. Today, I specialize in trauma, faith transitions, identity work, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care, as well as couples therapy focused on emotional connection and communication.
Outside of work, I’m married, have two dogs—Vader the black lab and Miso the corgi—and we’re excited to welcome our first child soon. I love the outdoors, traveling, puzzles, and building LEGO sets. I also enjoy mixing cocktails and adding personality to my style—fun socks are my go-to!
